Advantage 1
Online density compensation
Pressure and temperature are measured online, making steam density compensation possible for compensated mass flow.
SFMc-150 | Saturated & Superheated Steam

Product Description
Manas Microsystem Pvt. Ltd. manufactures, supplies and exports SFMc-150 Steam Flow Meters from Pune, Maharashtra, India for saturated steam, superheated steam and thermic fluid applications. The engineered orifice-based DP system is built with no moving parts and designed for easy installation.
The system measures differential pressure across an orifice plate and combines it with instantaneous density from online pressure and temperature inputs. This allows compensated steam mass flow measurement in closed pipelines where standards-based design and maintainable field instrumentation matter.
Working Principle
Steam density changes with operating pressure and temperature. The compact steam flow meter measures these inputs online so mass flow can be compensated at the instrument.
The DP signal across the orifice plate, line pressure and temperature are combined to calculate compensated mass flow rate, density, temperature and transmitter output on the local display.
The system supports ASME-based mass flow calculation, steam status indication, user-friendly programming and practical field serviceability for industrial steam users.
Suitable for saturated and superheated steam in closed pipes.

Principal Advantages
The compact steam flow meter combines standards-based orifice measurement with density compensation, diagnostics and serviceable field instrumentation.
Advantage 1
Pressure and temperature are measured online, making steam density compensation possible for compensated mass flow.
Advantage 2
Orifice assemblies are available in multiple sizes with accurate design calculations, with or without IBR approval as required.
Advantage 3
The system displays compensated mass flow rate, density, temperature and DP transmitter output, with LED indication for saturated or superheated steam status.
Advantage 4
Operators do not need to feed complicated orifice constants because the system handles the calculation logic.
Applications
Use compact steam flow meters for utility monitoring, process accounting and heat-transfer applications.
Track saturated or superheated steam consumption from boilers to process areas.
Measure mass flow to allocate steam cost by department, equipment or production line.
Use pressure and temperature inputs to support compensated readings in superheated service.
The same platform can support thermic fluid or thermic oil heat-transfer measurement applications.
Selection Guide
The compact steam flow meter uses a differential flow element with online pressure and temperature measurement for density-compensated mass flow.
